Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: W2 Only – $65–$70/hr
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to support a large-scale migration initiative aimed at enhancing developer enablement through automation and modern tooling. This hybrid role, based in either Pittsburgh or Cleveland, involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline CI/CD processes and improve deployment workflows. The successful candidate will develop automation solutions to support Helm adoption, contribute to Jenkins Shared Libraries and GitHub Actions, and build and maintain containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Responsibilities:
- Develop automation solutions to support Helm adoption across the developer community
- Streamline CI/CD processes and improve deployment workflows
- Contribute to Jenkins Shared Libraries and GitHub Actions
- Build and maintain containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps best practices
Required Skills:
- Proven experience deploying applications to Kubernetes/OpenShift using Helm
- 5+ years of software engineering experience (Golang, Python, Java, or JavaScript)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory)
- Experience developing Jenkins Shared Libraries in Groovy
- Proficiency with Git and platforms like Bitbucket, GitHub, or Azure DevOps
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
- Ability to write Dockerfiles and build container images
- Experience developing and integrating with APIs
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with mobile pipeline development using Fastlane
- Exposure to cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code tools
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 6 to 8 years of relevant professional experience
