Senior Software Engineer
Location: Remote
Description:
HigherEchelon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the overall strategic vision for cloud projects by integrating a broad range of innovative solutions to meet client requirements. This role is responsible for the design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture of complex cloud environments, utilizing advanced engineering and research methodologies to solve highly technical cloud systems challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to the overall strategic vision and integrate a broad range of cloud solutions in support of client requirements for cloud projects.
Formulate and define system scope and objectives; develop or modify processes to solve complex problems for cloud systems and for business and electronic interfaces, leveraging innovative technologies to achieve desired results.
Develop and apply advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced cloud requirements, including hardware/software interfaces and applications.
Conduct activities in system design, development, integration, engineering, and cloud architecture, ensuring robust and scalable solutions for enterprise needs.
Provide technical leadership on the planning and execution of major project phases, conducting complex analysis and solution development.
As senior staff, manage, plan, and lead significant components of major projects, ensuring high-quality results and effective integration with enterprise objectives.
In general, work complexity and responsibility will be greater at higher levels.
Required Skills:
Experience with software development, including strong knowledge of Java and J2EE frameworks.
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining configuration of cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, OCI or Google Cloud Platform), ensuring proper integration with technologies and platform
Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server and hands-on experience with Oracle development (PL/SQL, packages, triggers, etc.).
Minimum of 2 years of experience with IBM Maximo (custom development and integration)
Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with Air Force Cloud One.
Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
Knowledge of Apache NiFi for data flow automation.
Experience implementing SAML-based authentication.
Understanding of OIDC and OAuth2 protocols.
Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, product management, or software products
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining configuration of Azure cloud-based systems ensuring proper integration with technologies and platforms
Experience migrating software applications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of experience in a software engineering field
2+ years of experience with IBM Maximo (custom development and integration).
