Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Marketing/Advertisement Data Analyst for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be a year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Purpose of the Team: The main function of a Data Analyst is to support digital marketers by analyzing marketing campaign performance and impact. This includes supporting campaign setup for measurement and tracking, as well as researching and defining audience segments for emails.

• Key Projects:
  • This role will support one line of business with a heavy focus on email. The team is initiating a project for new data measurement techniques for retention and engagement emails.
  • Campaign Analysis and Reporting: Analyze campaign performance and prepare reports, including generating insights and data storytelling for presentations.
  • Audience Research and Targeting: Research data sources to define campaign audiences, contributing to the planning phase before campaign launches.
  • Data Preparation and Presentation: Prepare data, create presentations, and communicate complex analysis results to stakeholders.

Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: The role will consist of 60% data analysis, 20% meetings, and 20% preparing for presentations, communications, and updating preliminary data.
More Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth ad hoc analysis to uncover audience behaviors, performance drivers, and opportunities for optimization across email campaigns.
• Perform research to support the creation and refinement of personalized targeting signals using cross-channel data sources.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, analytics, and engineering teams to align on data requirements, insights, and targeting strategies.
• Derive meaningful business insights by exploring large datasets, identifying patterns, and translating findings into actionable targeting opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience with PowerPoint (Ability to create clear, effective presentations to communicate data analysis findings)
• Minimum 2-3 years experience with Power BI and Adobe Analytics (for data analysis and reporting)
• Minimum 5 years experience with advanced Excel (data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables, some statistical analysis)
• Previous experience with Ads platforms is a plus.
• Strong Communication: Ability to clearly present and explain complex data and analysis results to stakeholders is essential.
• Data Storytelling: Skill in preparing presentations and conveying insights from data in an understandable way.
• Collaboration: Work with marketers and other team members during campaign planning and results presentation.
• Attention to Detail: Required for accurate analysis, reporting, and audience research.
• Knowledge of data is part of the planning phase before campaign launch.
• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on the delivery of results on a monthly basis, ability to lead presentations and meet deadlines, collaboration, and responsiveness with the team.
• Years of Experience Required: 5-7 years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or Certifications Required: A degree in computer science, marketing, statistics, or a related field in data analytics is required.
