Job Details

Position: Network Access Engineer (DOCSIS)
Location: In-office Greenwood Village, CO (Highly qualified remote candidates may be considered)
Schedule: 4 days per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a core team member supporting post-cutover operations and resolving immediate customer-impacting issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve node, DOCSIS, and video service disruptions post-migration to the new DAA system.
  • Provide real-time operational support and technical guidance to field and deployment teams.
  • Document incidents and resolutions in ticketing systems to support continuous improvement.
  • Identify and escalate recurring issues to ensure permanent corrective actions with deployment/engineering teams.
  • Maintain clear communication and handoff between shifts to ensure seamless operations.
  • Operate effectively under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of network core and transport concepts.
  • Proven experience in device configuration, network troubleshooting, and operational support in Video or DOCSIS environments.
  • Working knowledge of video transport, encryption methodologies, and conditional access systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency with computers, monitoring tools, and network software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Process-oriented mindset with creative problem-solving abilities.

DOCSIS-Specific Expertise

  • Knowledge of DOCSIS standards, CCAP, and access network platforms.
  • Familiarity with DOCSIS modulation profiles, TFTP, TOD, CM files, and related provisioning components.
  • Understanding of analog transmission lines, fiber optics, and electronic theory.
