Job Details
This role is on behalf of an exciting investment management firm with hundreds of employees, and a robust technology environment. They have a NYC presence and are currently in process of building out their cybersecurity function.
You will be the first fully-focused security hire in the firm, in a multi-faceted Cybersecurity Lead role.
If you are not in proximity to downtown NYC, this role will require a relocation as it's 4x days a week on-site.
Day-to-day responsibilities and background required:
- Lead cyber defense initiatives to monitor and respond to cyber threats, ensuring robust incident management.
- Develop and implement security frameworks that align with business objectives and regulatory needs.
- Partner with business units to integrate a security-first approach across all operations, essentially acting as the voice of security across the organization.
- Spearhead the adoption and integration of new security technologies to enhance system integrity.
The firm is still figuring out the exact seniority they want to make this hire at, and are open to speaking to candidates at different levels. They can offer a base salary of $150k-$200k, and total compensation (base & bonus) anywhere from $200k-$450k. Naturally this massively varies and will tie into one's experience.
This role is the right fit for someone looking to take ownership of a cybersecurity function from both a technical and strategic perspective.
That said, there are not immediate hires in the roadmap under this person, so if maintaining people leadership is something you are seeking in the next role, this might not be a the right fit.
