Role: Oracle XStore SME / POS Consultant

Location: Los Angeles, City of Industry, CA

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle XStore POS Consultant to join our project.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle s retail suite, particularly in Oracle XStore, with hands-on experience in implementation, customization, support, and integration.
• This role blends deep technical expertise in Java, SQL, XML, and Oracle technologies with strong functional knowledge of retail operations and POS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support implementation, customization, and maintenance of Oracle XStore and related POS applications.
• Perform configuration, integration, and functional testing to ensure smooth operation across POS systems.
• Troubleshoot technical and functional issues; provide timely resolutions to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, QA, and project managers to deliver high-quality retail solutions.
• Maintain and produce technical process flows, documentation, and as-built designs in support of POS and Oracle Retail architecture.
• Stay updated with Oracle s latest releases and best practices; recommend improvements to enhance system capabilities.
• Provide support for Oracle XStore, XStore Office, ORPOS, XCenter, and payment modules.
• Integrate POS systems with peripherals (e.g., pinpads, printers, EFTLink) and Oracle retail modules like ReSA, OROB, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in Oracle Retail implementation, upgrade, or support projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle XStore, including configuration and customization.
• Proficiency in Core Java, SQL, XML, and familiarity with Spring framework and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database, Retail Cloud Infrastructure, and XStore Office Cloud Service is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control tools like SVN and GIT.
• Excellent understanding of retail business processes, POS workflows, and end-to-end transaction management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
