Lead Guidewire Developer

100% Remote role

Long term Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Guidewire Developer with strong expertise in configuration, integration development, Standards-Based Templates (SBT), and Commercial Lines. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end solution design, provide technical leadership, and ensure high-quality implementation across Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter / BillingCenter).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical design, solution architecture, and development activities for Guidewire implementations.
  • Oversee configuration development using Gosu, PCF, data model extensions, business rules, and workflows.
  • Design, implement, and review integrations using Guidewire Messaging, SOAP/REST APIs, Gx models, and plugins.
  • Implement and customize SBT (Standards-Based Templates) for commercial lines products.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and provide technical mentorship to the development team.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to ensure requirements are translated into high-quality technical solutions.
  • Drive sprint planning, estimation, and Agile delivery activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to configuration, integration, performance, and environment setup.
  • Ensure adherence to Guidewire development standards, coding guidelines, and integration patterns.
  • Work closely with onsite/offshore teams and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in Guidewire (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter).
  • Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire configuration (Gosu, PCF, data model, rules, workflows).
  • Solid experience designing and developing integrations using REST/SOAP, messaging, Gx models, and plugins.
  • Proven experience implementing SBT for Commercial Lines (ISO/AAIS or other bureau templates).
  • Good understanding of Guidewire Cloud architecture (preferred).
  • Experience leading team members, conducting code reviews, and managing technical delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex configuration/integration issues.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, and testing frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
