SCCM Architect (with Strong PowerShell) || Remote || Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced SCCM Architect with deep expertise in PowerShell scripting to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining architecture standards, automating deployment and patch management processes, and ensuring high performance and reliability of endpoint systems across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect scalable SCCM infrastructure in complex enterprise environments.
  • Lead SCCM upgrades, migrations, and integrations with other systems.
  • Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, compliance, and troubleshooting.
  • Standardize and automate software deployments, OS deployments, patching, and endpoint configurations.
  • Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to enforce baseline configurations and vulnerability remediation.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and health of SCCM infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to SCCM admins and engineers.
  • Document architectural decisions, technical processes, and support procedures.

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with SCCM (Current Branch).
  • Strong experience developing complex PowerShell scripts for automation and systems management.
  • Deep understanding of SCCM architecture, including DPs, MPs, SUPs, and CB deployments.
  • Experience with OSD, Task Sequences, driver/package management, and application lifecycle management.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022).
  • Familiarity with Intune, MECM co-management, and hybrid environments is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in enterprise Active Directory and Group Policy environments.

Preferred Skills:
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or similar.
  • Experience with Azure AD, Intune, and MDM solutions.
  • Familiarity with SQL queries for SCCM reporting.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks like Desired State Configuration (DSC) or CI/CD tools.
