**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer/Architect to join our dynamic team in Weehawken, NJ. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that drive critical business insights.

**Responsibilities:**

- Design and develop robust data architectures and pipelines to support data virtualization and integration efforts.
- Implement efficient SQL programming techniques to query, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Utilize DevOps practices to automate and streamline data processes, including deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Leverage Python programming for data manipulation, transformation, and automation tasks.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging Databricks platform for advanced analytics and machine learning.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data processes and systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, continuously enhancing our data architecture and processes.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (X years) in data engineering or architecture roles, with a focus on building scalable data solutions.
- Strong proficiency in data virtualization technologies and concepts.
- Expertise in SQL programming and database management systems.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with related tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker).
- Advanced proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks platform for big data processing and analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, Databricks Certified Associate Developer).
- Previous experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
