Description

Join a winning team!! SAIC's Space and Intelligence Business Group is currently hiring to advance space capabilities supporting our Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community customers. Ten miles from the SAIC headquarters, our Chantilly, VA team supports systems development, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration and more.

This position is for an Acquisition Support - Contract Execution SME for a large, multi-year contract supporting a cutting-edge and innovative space program. The Acquisition Support SME must possess, and have successfully demonstrated, large developer contract oversight expertise managing cost, schedule, and contract compliance. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills. The Acquisition Support SME will partner with the Government PM, system engineers, and subject matter experts to effectively plan, organize and execute all acquisition activities across the system life cycle.

The Acquisition Support SME provides leadership and support to the customer's execution of the Program with responsibilities that may include, but are not limited to the following:

Role Responsibilities:

Partner with Government Program Manager to plan, execute, and oversee Developer contract activities.
Manage and report budgetary needs and oversee Developer contract financial performance, including EVM, obligations, and executions.
Track contract deliverables and coordinate program office reviews.
Coordinate program office input to Developer award fee.
Manage development of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) soliciting changes of Developer scope.
Manage and coordinate program office proposal reviews.
Coordinate with SETA PM and Team Leads to identify subsystem SMEs and System Engineer support to direct and oversee Developer technical performance.
Track and report progress at multiple levels of Contractor and Government leadership.
Identify and promote best practices to improve effectiveness of Program Office processes.

Qualifications

    Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
    Experience with the Intelligence Community and/or the Department of Defense Program Office best practices.
    At least 3 years experience in a satellite program office serving key leadership roles as a Government or Contractor.
    Bachelors and 9 years of relevant experience; OR Masters and 7 years of relevant experience.
    Government or Commercial experience as a COTR, PM, PEM or acquisition leader. Budgetary, financial and EVM experience.
    Ability to lead, and be the primary point of contact, for one or more projects.
    Effective interpersonal skills (across multiple groups, offices, and organizations and strong briefing and writing skills.
    Ability to communicate to a diverse audience of senior decision makers with varying levels of programmatic and technical expertise.
    Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
    Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with no supervision.

    Desired Qualifications:
    • PMI PMP or DAWIA Level 3+ certification. Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management Level III+ certifications highly desired.
