Analytics Architect (MicroStrategy)
Position: Analytics Architect (MicroStrategy)
Purpose of the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled MicroStrategy Architect to lead the migration of enterprise BI landscapes from multiple reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Cognos, SAP BO) into MicroStrategy.
In this role, you will define the overall BI architecture, migration strategy, governance model, and implementation best practices for a scalable and secure MicroStrategy environment. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to design solutions that enable advanced analytics, self-service reporting, and enterprise data adoption.

Key Result Areas and Activities:
- Architect & Design
- Define & lead the migration of dashboards, reports, and data models from multiple BI tools into MicroStrategy.
- Perform in-depth analysis of existing BI solutions and define migration strategy, roadmap, and best practices.
- Architect and design scalable MicroStrategy solutions including schema objects, metadata, semantic layers, and reporting frameworks.
- Provide Advisory and Consulting Services
- Act as the primary SME for MicroStrategy, guiding technical and business stakeholders throughout the transformation journey.
- Drive consulting engagements in areas of expertise across projects/accounts. Support pre-sales activities including engaging prospects, conducting workshops, developing point of views/solutions/scoping, writing proposals, engaging partners, and supporting sales and marketing enablement.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Lead and mentor development teams in the design and implementation of dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Work closely with offshore and onshore development teams to ensure quality, performance, and delivery timelines.
- Facilitate workshops, status meetings, and technical reviews with client stakeholders.
- Systematically Develop and Maintain Offerings Support offering development and lead its pilot implementation. Create implementation methodologies, processes, templates are defined, enhanced, and internalized for the prioritized solutions.
Work and Technical Experience:
Must To Have Skill Set
- Strong knowledge of MicroStrategy architecture and components for effective solutioning.
- Proven experience leading migration projects from multiple BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Cognos) to MicroStrategy.
- Proficient in creating schema objects (attributes, facts, logical tables, hierarchies) and public objects (reports, metrics, filters, prompts, documents, dashboards)
- Proficient in developing complex reports using MicroStrategy Desktop and Web, including templates, filters, prompts, consolidations, and custom groups.
- Thorough understanding of relational database platforms and experience in designing & building dimensional data models
- Well versed with the latest trends in analytics, business intelligence and data visualization
- Exceptional client-facing skills with a track record of working directly with executives and business sponsors.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing onshore-offshore delivery models and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and tools.
Good To Have Skill Set
- Prior consulting or large-scale BI transformation project experience.
- Certification in MicroStrategy or related technologies.
Qualification:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (master's degree is a plus)
- Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods
- At least 10+ years of relevant experience; two years may be substituted for a master s degree
