Description – Infrastructure Systems Engineer
Summary:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Infrastructure Systems Engineer to lead the transition of lab infrastructure from HPE to Dell hardware, implement KVM virtualization, and support the stabilization of a dynamic lab environment. This role requires hands-on experience with complex systems and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities:
  • Transition infrastructure from HPE hardware to Dell with KVM virtualization
  • Replace VMWare and vSphere solutions
  • Manage Dell PowerEdge servers and KVM environments
  • Update firmware on Cisco and Brocade fiber switches
  • Configure DFS on Windows Server and GFS2 for KVM hosts
  • Oversee WSUS and monitor servers using Logic Monitor
  • Troubleshoot storage, firewall, and network issues
  • Document configuration, management procedures, and lab processes
  • Support infrastructure transition and stabilization
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent proven work experience
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on lab experience managing 50+ systems
  • Expertise in provisioning and boot processes
  • Strong background in Linux, Windows, Dell, and HPE server/SAN management
  • Proficiency in hardware/OS-level debugging and firmware upgrades
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure (Layer 1–3)
  • Familiarity with LINUX kernel, modules, and drivers
