As a Cybersecurity Controls Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our cyber defense systems through the evaluation, implementation, and monitoring of security controls. This position will have a strong emphasis on data analysis, reporting, and risk assessment related to security controls and will be on point to identify opportunities and recommend updates to reduce risk. This is not a supervisory position.

What You'll Do:
- Controls Implementation and Monitoring: Implement, manage, and monitor cybersecurity controls in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review and adjust controls based on system changes or identified vulnerabilities.
- Reporting: Develop detailed reports outlining the effectiveness of implemented controls, potential risks, and incidents. Regularly present these reports to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to evaluate the efficacy of existing controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and updating of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines based on control analysis findings and industry best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure that security measures are integrated into all areas of the organization
What You'll Need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degrees or industry certifications (such as CISSP, CISA) would be advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably with a focus on controls analysis and implementation.
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, control frameworks (like NIST, ISO 27001), and reporting standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a proven ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Data analysis languages and tools: Required: Python, SQL, Excel.
- Data reporting, dashboarding, and visualization tools: Jupyter Notebooks, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Map requests to available datasets, understand the underlying cybersecurity problem, tailor reporting to target audience
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, controls, and reporting
- Experience in one or more of the following areas of the software development life cycle: development, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), cloud (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform), testing (regressions, unit, penetration), software source code management
