Job Description:
Apex Systems is Looking for:
Senior Business Analyst

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience as a business analyst or equivalent experience in the engineering and construction industry and/or equivalent domain experience relevant to engineering and construction product(s).
Experience with agile software development practices
Experience with Azure Dev Ops (VSTS)
Experience managing backlog items including creation of User Stories, Bugs, and Defects
Experience prioritizing and maintaining a prioritized backlog
Experience performing User Acceptance Testing and facilitating Stakeholder testing and training
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Demonstrated success in up-front requirements gathering techniques, including user interviews, workshops, and data analysis to minimize rework throughout a project.
Ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts targeted at multiple audiences.
Experience working closely with a variety of teams including product management, UI and UX designers, QA, and developers.
Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
You will leverage your traditional Agile BA expertise in requirements gathering, user story creation, detailed documentation, and process mapping to ensure a clear and achievable product roadmap. Partner closely with developers, tech leads, and QAs throughout the iterative development process. This includes collaborating on user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and facilitating effective communication across all levels. Technology product certification(s) and/or related training certifications, a plus. Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time. CUSTOMER/BUSINESS PROCESS & ORGANIZATION: Demonstrate passion regarding quality, value, and customer experience Display first-rate customer service abilities, and always be willing to help with a positive attitude Work with the business to acquire and maintain awareness of how the business utilizes support applications and the underlying business problem Seek to understand user behavior and user likes/dislikes with products/services in use Create and maintain end-user training material and collaborate with business owner or stakeholder to create marketing communications for the product Evaluate product progression at the end of every iteration and demonstrate completed work Identify potential roadblocks proactively. In conjunction with the Product Owner, partner to gain buy-in from stakeholders and users to promote cohesion and clear communication throughout the organization. In conjunction with the Product Owner, conduct regular product stakeholder meetings to establish product direction, business strategy and priorities. Partner with and gain buy-in from stakeholders and users to create cohesion and clear communication Participate in workshops and user interviews to understand client pain points and desired functionalities. STRATEGY, VISION, AND COST MANAGEMENT: Effectively express team vision and goals and ability to adjust vision and goals as product progresses Manage the feature and user story refinement process by gathering requirements, writing user stories, prioritizing the backlog, and accepting the team's work Maintain an adequate amount of defined work in the backlog to ensure a steady workload in each sprint Participate in product and project meetings, including sprint ceremony meetings, serving as the voice of stakeholders and users Work cross-functionally with other KTG teams to ensure collaboration and alignment Embrace change and motivate others to as well Build team morale by setting achievable goals and communicate stakeholder feedback SOLUTION/BUSINESS EXPERTISE: Maintain knowledge and awareness of all product functionality supported by the respective product area Communicate the business value of features and deliverables to the team Coordinate with business units to test and evaluate the new or updated applications and features Address business-related questions and training directly with users Understand data and data security measures Strive to continually improve as a development tea
