Job Title: Lead Java Developer
Location: Houston, TX

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Lead Java Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Java applications, leading a team of developers, and ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of scalable and high-performance Java-based applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and system architecture.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level developers.

  • Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and apply them to improve development efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 6+ years of Java development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of Java (8 or above), Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), and REST APIs.

  • Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle, and version control (Git).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

  • Good understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and team leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.

  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Frontend development experience (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
