What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the team planning, execution, and delivery of the brownfield project from inception through construction and initial operations. Team includes engineers, site operations, safety, environmental, legal, procurement, sales and quality control.
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, budget, and risk management plan.
- Oversee cross-functional teams, including permitting specialists, engineers, contractors, and various internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and opportunities.
What Are We Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field. A thorough understanding of engineering design best practices.
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, preferably in mining, heavy civil engineering, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies addressing technical, financial, and regulatory challenges through proactive resolution of project bottlenecks, ensuring smooth coordination between teams and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing construction activities, ensuring quality, safety and adherence to project timelines.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost estimation, and schedule management. Success in conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues as they arise.
