Responsibilities

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand document/template requirements, end-user needs, and workflow processes.

Design and develop templates using OpenText technologies (e.g., Exstream, Content Server, Documentum, StreamServe, or other OpenText platforms), focusing on layout, data integration, and branding.

Configure and map data sources (XML, databases, APIs) for templated documents, ensuring dynamic population of content fields.

Implement custom scripts or business logic to automate conditional formatting, calculations, and decision-based content inclusion/exclusions.

Ensure all templates and generated documents adhere to ADA and accessibility standards. Incorporate features such as readable text, proper tagging for screen readers, appropriate use of color contrast, and alt text for images, enabling access for users with disabilities.

Set up multi-channel output (PDF, HTML, print, email, etc.), ensuring documents meet compliance, accessibility, and branding standards.

Conduct thorough template testing including unit, integration, UAT to verify output correctness, performance, and system compatibility.

Analyze and resolve issues in template generation, data population, formatting, or integration. Provide root cause analysis and timely solutions.

Create and maintain technical documentation for developed templates, integration points, and user guides for administrators and end-users.

Continually monitor and tune template performance (e.g., rendering speed, output accuracy), optimizing for high-volume or complex processes.

Collaborate with QA teams and business users during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases. Address defects, provide technical guidance, and ensure templates meet functional and business requirements for final acceptance.
