Position Summary
The Datacenter Supervisor at INETUM will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of a mission-critical data center environment, including the installation, maintenance, and support of IT hardware infrastructure and structured cabling systems. In this hybrid technical-leadership role, the ideal candidate will manage field technicians, oversee IMAC (Install-Move-Add-Change) activities, and ensure compliance with client-specific SLAs delivering operational continuity, process optimization, and reliable infrastructure support.
This position requires someone with deep technical understanding, hands-on installation skills, and the leadership acumen to direct field service resources and manage incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations & Infrastructure Oversight
- Supervise and participate in the installation, configuration, and retrieval of data center hardware including servers, storage, blades, chassis, controllers, and network devices.
- Direct the implementation and layout of copper and fiber optic cabling systems per structured cabling standards.
- Maintain physical access controls and environmental standards in compliance with NERC CIP or equivalent.
- Monitor system health via DCIM platforms; escalate hardware issues to manufacturers under warranty when required.
- Oversee the execution of BIOS and firmware updates, hardware replacements, and service availability monitoring.
Field Supervision & Resource Management
- Manage field operations and coordinate daily activities of onsite technicians to resolve incidents and perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Lead the incident response and resolution efforts for second-level support tasks and first-level operations outside business hours.
- Organize work schedules, assign field resources, and maintain operational continuity across datacenter service domains.
- Serve as the primary escalation point between technical teams and client service owners.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide technical mentorship, and enforce safety and procedural standards.
Process Optimization & Reporting
- Evaluate and implement continuous improvements to workflow, installation processes, and documentation.
- Monitor and enforce service level objectives and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Develop and maintain technical manuals, SOPs, and project documentation.
- Create and present statistical performance and availability reports.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years in a data center or field service environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Proven track record managing field operations, infrastructure deployments, and incident resolution.
- Strong experience with server hardware, networking components (routers, switches, firewalls), and DCIM tools.
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in:
- Structured cabling standards (copper/fiber)
- Server and network device installation
- DCIM and remote monitoring systems
- Asset and inventory control
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices.
- Ability to lead, coach, and inspire technical teams in high-availability environments.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, CCNA, ITIL Foundation, or related.

- Travel: Occasional, REGIONAL, based on project demands
