Role Summary

The Principal is a senior-level leader and subject matter expert responsible for shaping technology strategy, guiding architecture and solution design, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. They serve as trusted advisors to stakeholders, mentor teams, and drive innovation, scalability, and excellence across programs or products.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and drive long-term technology vision and roadmaps.
  • Partner with executives, product leaders, and clients to align IT strategy with business goals.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption.

Technical Expertise

  • Serve as top-tier technical authority in the organization.
  • Review and approve high-impact designs, architectures, and technical solutions.
  • Guide complex system integrations, migrations, and digital transformations.

Mentorship & Influence

  • Mentor senior engineers, architects, and consultants, raising the overall technical bar.
  • Promote best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams on critical projects.
  • Act as a technical spokesperson for the company at industry events, conferences, and RFPs.
  • Translate complex technology concepts into business-friendly language for executives.

Governance & Risk Management

  • Define enterprise-level standards, patterns, and frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Anticipate and mitigate technical risks and scalability issues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, architecture, or consulting.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise-level systems, cloud, and digital platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of solution architecture, security, scalability, and integration patterns.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solutions Architect Professional, TOGAF, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
