Data Architect - Snowflake

As the Data Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of modern data architecture strategies with a strong emphasis on Snowflake. You'll play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization by building out scalable, governed, and high-performing data solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and evolve a centralized data management framework that supports strategic digital initiatives.

Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Management
  • Define and implement a data architecture strategy aligned with digital transformation goals.
  • Design and build scalable data models, schemas, and data flows using Snowflake.
  • Develop and maintain data marts for business teams to perform ad-hoc analytics on large datasets.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Snowflake, applications, and BI tools.
  • Create thorough documentation covering architectures, models, workflows, and integration points.

Snowflake Platform & Data Governance
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Snowflake, guiding platform usage, development, and optimization.
  • Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor data quality, performance, and usage; implement improvements where needed.
  • Manage user access, security, and SSO configurations in Snowflake and BI platforms.
  • Establish a Business Intelligence (BI) framework to support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.

Collaboration & Business Engagement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into robust data solutions.
  • Partner with EPM and ERP teams to deliver finance-focused data models and reporting tools.
  • Provide training and support to business users on Power BI and other tools.

Innovation & Future Planning
  • Own and maintain the roadmap for Snowflake and BI tools, leveraging new features and capabilities.
  • Explore and evaluate AI integrations in Snowflake and BI platforms for future use.
  • Stay current with Snowflake advancements and recommend improvements accordingly.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture and data management roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake , including platform administration, optimization, and development. SnowPro Core or Advanced certification required.
  • Proficient in Power BI with 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • In-depth knowledge of authentication protocols and data security (SAML, OAuth, OpenID, policies, entitlements, etc.).
  • Proven experience designing high-availability, production-grade data platforms.
  • ERP or accounting system experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and cross-functional collaboration.


Note: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
