Please note that this project assignment is with our own direct clients.  We do not go through any vendors.  STG only does business with direct end-clients. Job Description:

Data Factory Software Engineer: This position will be part of the Data Factory Enterprise Data Ingestion (EDI) product group using tools like Attunity, Hive, Hbase, Spark, Google Cloud Platform, etc. The product team"s objective is to ingest data from hundreds of sources within the company to the EDI Hadoop and Google Cloud Platform environment and perform transformations to make it usable for data scientists in GDIA. This position will require an individual who has a strong background with multiple database technologies, who is process oriented and has knowledge of Hadoop and Google Cloud Platform environment. This role is part of a highly dynamic team supporting GDIA activities.

Position Responsibilities:

The Data Software Engineer position will involve design, implementation, testing and launch of new applications for loading dealer data and generating analytical insights. The position requires a strong foundation in Big Data with knowledge of Python and SQL query language. The primary focus involves the migration of data landing and transformation jobs from Hadoop to Airflow (Astronomer) and BigQuery. The software engineer will work closely with IT team members and Business Owners to understand various business processes and apply this knowledge to design and implement solutions.

Skills Required:

• Python SQL
• Strong Analytical skills

Experience Required:

• 3+ years experience with ETL solutions.
• 3+ years experience of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• 3+ years experience SQL/Oracle/Teradata.
• Ability to lead and mentor associate engineers.
• Ability to clearly communicate with peers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts.

Experience Preferred:

• Experience with Airflow (Astronomer).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with BigQuery

Experience Preferred:

• Experience and good understanding of Data processing / Machine Learning / Deep Learning Models / Natural Language Processing
