Senior Solution Architect

We are seeking a Solution Architect with strong experience in the retail domain, microservices architecture, and preferably Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate should be hands-on with coding, able to assess and integrate third-party products, and capable of producing high-quality C4 model documentation to support technical design and architecture discussions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end architecture and design for scalable retail solutions built on microservices.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party solutions into enterprise systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  
• Produce and maintain C4 model documentation (Context, Container, Component, Code) for ongoing and upcoming work.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to define architectural vision.
• Conduct code-level assessments and provide technical leadership and hands-on support as needed.
• Drive cloud-native design patterns using Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Pub/Sub, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, etc.).
• Ensure architectural decisions comply with enterprise standards and governance.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks during project execution.
• Lead architecture review boards and present architectural solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in retail industry projects.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (preferred) or any major cloud provider (AWS/Azure).
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language (Java, Node.js, Python, etc.).
• Experience with integration and evaluation of third-party software products.
• Strong documentation skills using the C4 model.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Google Cloud Platform Certification (Cloud Architect or equivalent) is a plus.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time systems.
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles.
