Job Details

Job Title: Data Governance

Location: Cincinnati, OH Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and Implementing Frameworks:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-wide data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.

Policy Creation and Enforcement:

Creating and enforcing data governance policies and procedures that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Data Quality Management:

Establishing and overseeing data quality standards, monitoring data quality metrics, and implementing corrective actions to address data quality issues.

Data Security and Privacy:

Implementing and enforcing data security and privacy policies, controls, and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations.

Metadata Management:

Establishing and maintaining metadata management processes, including data lineage, definitions, and dependencies.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborating with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on data governance practices and promote a data-driven culture.

Monitoring and Reporting:

Monitoring data governance performance, tracking key metrics, and reporting on the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.

Risk Management:

Identifying and mitigating data-related risks, including those related to data quality, security, and compliance.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong Understanding of Data Governance Principles:

Deep knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices. Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and technologies. Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with data management tools and technologies, including data quality tools, metadata management tools, and data cataloging tools. Experience setting up a strategic Data Governance program and help define policies, processes, data classification framework etc. Experience with data quality assessment, data profiling, and data cleansing techniques.

Domain Knowledge:

Exposure to aerospace domain

Regulatory Knowledge:

Understanding of relevant data privacy and security regulations.

Project Management Skills:

Ability to manage data governance projects, track progress, and ensure timely completion.
