Job Details

We are seeking a Project Manager (PMP Certified) to join our Texas State agency team, with primary responsibilities including planning, budgeting, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of the specific project you will be working on. The Project Manager would work with the program and IT teams to implement the Invoice Tracking System replacement project activities, including facilitating meetings, managing project milestones and deliverables, handling change requests, mitigating risks, tracking the project budget, and overseeing project scope.

Duration: 1696 hours (Sept'25 - June'26)

Hybrid (3 days work from home, 2 days onsite Thurs/Fri of every week)

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in managing project with implementations across large organizations. Experience should include developing and managing project plans, as well as documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.
  • 10 years of experience in research, gathering, assembling, correlating, and analyzing facts, to devise solutions to problems, and to prepare concise reports and/or to analyze and solve complex and challenging issues.
  • Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, ensuring business requirements get translated into technical specifications, and guiding and facilitating the SDLC process.
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders. Must possess strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to appropriately summarize and escalate issues, develop, present weekly status updates, and conduct regular project team meetings.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 8 years of experience with Agile methodology, overseeing and tracking development progress, and ensuring project assignments align with project timelines.
  • Agile experience, managing project with feature driven sprints
  • Strongly preferred experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for 1 or more State Agencies of the State of Texas.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or Public Health
  • PMP Certification
