IBM Websphere Administrator

Location: Remote ( Candidates with Security Clearance preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level consulting services to clients on IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Process Server, and related technologies.
  • Swift Administration Experience
  • Design, develop, and implement web services solutions using SOAP, REST, and other web services standards.
  • Work with clients to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain WSDLs, XML schemas, and other web services artifacts.
  • Configure and administer IBM WebSphere environments for optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to WebSphere and web services.
  • Integrate WebSphere with other enterprise systems, such as databases, ERP systems, and messaging platforms.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers and provide technical guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web services and IBM WebSphere.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including proposal development and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing web services solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server and/or WebSphere Process Server.
  • Strong understanding of web services standards, including SOAP, REST, WSDL, and XML.
  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, XML, and related technologies.
  • Experience with web services security, including WS-Security, SSL, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
  • Experience with database technologies, such as DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IBM WebSphere certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other IBM WebSphere products, such as WebSphere MQ, WebSphere ESB, or IBM Integration Bus.
  • Experience with BPEL and workflow technologies.
  • Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based web services deployments.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
