RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Microsoft SME - Security Process Engineer/Security Assurance in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Summary
The Microsoft Security Process Engineer (SME) will spearhead the optimization of security processes and technical solutions, with a specialized focus on the Microsoft ecosystem. This role demands an expert in process engineering and Microsoft security technologies to elevate security standards, implement robust solutions, and drive process maturity. The ideal candidate will merge technical expertise with process improvement methodologies, fostering a more secure, efficient, and resilient enterprise.

Responsibilities
* Design and optimize security processes: Align these processes with Microsoft tools, emphasizing scalability and operational efficiency
* Lead process engineering workshops: Utilize methodologies such as SIPOC, Value Stream Mapping, and Lean Six Sigma to enhance workflows and reduce inefficiencies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Develop and implement security solutions that support Microsoft solutions
* Develop metrics, dashboards, and data visualization reports: Create tools to measure and visualize security performance
* Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training: Support team members on Microsoft security technologies and process improvement strategies
* Analyze and recommend strategies: Improve the security posture of Microsoft platforms by leveraging advanced features such as E5 security tools and Azure AD
* Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats: Keep up-to-date with advancements in Microsoft security technologies to guide continuous improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or related discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience
* Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Statistics, or Engineering preferred
* Lean or Six Sigma certification at Green or Black Belt level
* CISSP certification is a plus
* Business Analysis certification (CBAP - Certified Business Analysis Professional) preferred
* 10+ years as a Business Analyst, writing requirements in technical departments or software companies
* 5+ years of experience in process engineering, cybersecurity, or Microsoft ecosystem technologies
* 3+ years of experience as a Senior or Lead Process Engineer, leading process improvement projects
* Expertise in Microsoft security tools (e.g., Entra ID, Defender, Azure AD)
* Strong knowledge of process improvement frameworks (Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management) and tools (SIPOC, Value Stream Mapping)
* Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD, including PKI, disaster recovery, and AD migration tools (Quest)
* Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and compliance requirements
* Advanced knowledge of process modeling software (MS Visio, Lucidchart) using BPMN 2.0
* Experience with work/task management, project management, and productivity tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, MS O365, Clarizen)
* Proven facilitation skills with experience in designing workshops, facilitating sessions, and gaining crucial input from key contributors
* Strong understanding of security best practices and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional certifications (Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt)
* Experience with advanced Microsoft security features (E5 licensing, data classification solutions)
* Expertise in data visualization tools (Power BI) for process performance monitoring and reporting

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
