Role: Content Specialist
Location: Denver, CO
Rate: $14.81/hour W2
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Contract: 4 Months
Job Summary:
The Video Operations Content Specialist ensures timely and accurate publishing of all media content in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role is critical in maintaining content integrity across platforms by verifying metadata, resolving content issues, and supporting partner relationships. The specialist also contributes to continuous improvement of operational workflows through analytics, audits, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all media content is published to production platforms within SLA timelines.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of all media files and associated metadata.
  • Collaborate with content providers to resolve errors or missing assets.
  • Detect and correct metadata issues to support proper content display across platforms.
  • Validate that all assets meet current media and metadata specifications.
  • Receive and process media and metadata from content providers.
  • Support content operations coordinators by resolving identified issues.
  • Conduct audits comparing pitch lists to received content for partner compliance.
  • Analyze daily metrics to proactively identify and resolve delivery issues.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with peer-level content partners.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the Video Operations value chain or escalate when needed.

Technical Knowledge Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of digital content workflows and common delivery errors.
  • Familiarity with VOD (Video on Demand) UIs and ability to assess system health.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to identify, report, and escalate system issues effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems, network drive mappings, and file systems.

Knowledge Gained in Role:
  • Foundational knowledge of CableLabs specifications.
  • Understanding of end-to-end content delivery lifecycle (video and IP platforms).
  • Experience reviewing, editing, uploading, and transcoding digital video assets.
  • Ability to verify, track, and confirm content receipt from providers.
  • Development of specialized technical and operational skills, potentially mentoring peers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in digital media operations or broadcast media environments.
  • Familiarity with asset management systems and content delivery workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
