Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and test mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop innovative design solutions
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Conduct design reviews and make recommendations for improvements
- Apply knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize product design for ease of manufacturing, cost efficiency, and quality
- Perform complex mechanical analyses to validate designs
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards to ensure designs are innovative and competitive
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and other 3D CAD software
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Experience in machine design and product development
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to occasionally travel as required for project needs.
