Role: Solutions Architect (Microsoft Tech Stack & Clinical Experience)

Duration: 12 months plus

Work Location: Remote but must be able to work East Coast Hours

You will be responsible for:

  • Design/develop/operate secure enterprise web application (Clinical App) using Angular, .NET Core and SQL
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of new features of the Clinical App (our Clinical Trial Management Service (CTMS) and Data Management Portal) and in particular develop, test/validate database (Azure Data Factory SQL), Business Layer (.Net), and User Interface (Angular)
  • Lead the live support for the application
  • Work with colleagues to agree a roadmap for the Carmenta Clinical App, including pragmatic use of AI
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Conduct code quality reviews of team members and propose improvements
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and replicability across future trials
  • Lead the team to develop and maintain documentation for applications

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in senior Solution Architect roles, in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated track record of designing, building and implementing impactful web apps in a DevOps environment in using Azure Data Factory SQL, .Net Core, and Angular is essential along with the required skillset to manage the associated Azure services, Kubernetes etc.
  • Strong expertise in collaborating with internal colleagues, to deliver a greater collective effect
  • Skilled in the design and management of Information Security tools, processes, and principles
  • Cost center management ability to create an annual Clinical App budget and demonstrate quarterly financial performance
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and knowledge of related regulatory requirements
  • Experience in Third Party/Vendor Management selection and assurance
  • Great leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams, and provide HofIT and Executive team briefings
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to align webapp development with business objectives
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deliver results within tight deadlines
