Job Details

We are working with our client, one of the top pediatric hospitals in the U.S., to help them find a full-time Azure Cloud Engineer. This role is remote-first with occasional on-site work in Chicago and is part of a major cloud transformation initiative. You'll join a highly respected team modernizing their digital infrastructure, with hands-on work across Azure architecture, Windows systems, and enterprise storage.

This client is undergoing a high-impact modernization of their IT systems, and you'll be a key contributor to this transformation. You'll partner with an existing Cloud Engineer to build and scale a secure, enterprise-level Azure environment while supporting legacy infrastructure that's gradually being phased out. This is a rare chance to influence technical direction, grow with the team, and contribute to healthcare innovation - all while maintaining work-life balance and avoiding the bureaucracy of larger tech teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud architecture and infrastructure
  • Strong background in Windows Server environments and Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of security/compliance in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Experience with enterprise storage systems (Isilon highly preferred)
  • Must be able to travel periodically to hospital sites in the Chicago area
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Healthcare or hospital IT experience
  • Experience in cloud migration or hybrid cloud strategies
  • PowerShell or other scripting/automation experience
  • Exposure to backup/disaster recovery best practices in Azure

What You Will Be Doing:
Tech Breakdown:
  • 50% Azure Cloud Architecture & Support
  • 30% Windows/AD Infrastructure

Daily Responsibilities:
  • 40% Designing and implementing Azure solutions
  • 30% Managing existing Windows-based systems
  • 20% Ensuring security and compliance in cloud/hybrid systems
  • 10% On-site troubleshooting (as needed)

You will receive the following benefits:
