Senior Security Engineer / Build security program from the ground up

This K-12 online education platform is looking for their first dedicated security hire. This person will be handling all thigs security: IAM, risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, cloud security, and more. This is an excellent opportunity to take charge and build an environment securely from the ground up. If you are a well-rounded, hands-on tech nerd who enjoys blue team defensive work, this position is for you!

Ideal candidates will have a background in networking/infrastructure, cloud experience, and experience with general blue team duties such as EDR, DLP, vulnerability management, and incident response. This is a full-time position that would allow you to work fully remote as long as you live in one of the following states: Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Or Utah. They have no plans to bring anyone back into an office. Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of professional cyber security experience
  • Emphasis on blue team skills
  • Specific experience building a secure environment from scratch
• Network/infrastructure skills or background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Any relevant security certifications
