Job Details

Job Title: Lead Manual and Automation Tester, Scrum Master
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months

Responsibilities:

As Test Lead:
Perform test execution and provide ad hoc testing support throughout all SDLC phases.
Create and execute test scenarios.
Collaborate with the development team for defect resolution as necessary.
Demonstrate user stories and functionality to the client.
Verify test conditions using backend systems, including:
Running SQL queries
Checking service responses using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.

 

As Scrum Master:
Provide direction to the development and testing team members.
Conduct Agile Ceremonies.
Oversee work and release management.
Ensure quality, meet expectations, reduce risk of errors, and drive customer satisfaction.

 

Required Skills & Expertise:
Documentation & Communication: Ability to create clear test plans, test scenarios, and test cases using HP ALM or similar testing tools.
Manual & Automation Testing: Proficient in manual tests and capable of identifying when and how to incorporate automated testing to improve efficiency.
Test Automation: Experience building and utilizing Test Automation scripts and framework (UFT).
Defect Reporting: Ability to create detailed defect reports to assist in issue resolution.
Methodologies: Experience in DevOps and Agile methods to promote collaboration.
Work Management Tools: Experience using Version One or similar tools.
Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong understanding of the SDLC for applications and operating systems.
Web Services: Knowledge of verification tools like Postman and SoapUI.
Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL query writing.
Troubleshooting: Ability to research/troubleshoot ad hoc questions and support issues.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and logical reasoning.
Communication: Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders, Solutions Architects, Product Owners, Managers, and Developers.
