Salesforce Inc. seeks Sr. Software Engineer - Database in Burlington, Massachusetts:

Job Duties: Work closely with engineers from multiple teams to keep the infrastructure stable, diagnose and fix performance issues, and identify and implement improvements to processes or tools already in use. Collaborate with our engineering teams on building, maintaining, and monitoring the infrastructure for our platform. Assist with new tools and processes for managing MuleSoft's database infrastructure. Design, optimize, and maintain a large, distributed data environment. Identify existing and potential performance pitfalls and work with the engineers to diagnose and fix them. Prepare MuleSoft's database infrastructure for the next phase of rapid scaling. Participate in the on-call rotation for production incidents to maintain operational excellence and high availability.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations; (2) SQL to PostgreSQL migration; (3) RDS; (4) AWS SCT, (5) DMS, (6) Google Cloud Platform DMS, (7) Pgadmin, (8) HVR, (9) SSMS, (10) SQL Profiler, (11) SSIS, (12) SSRS Performance Dashboard, (13) Database engine tuning advisor, (14) DBeaver, (15) Datadog. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.

Salary: $177,341.00 - $216,700.00 per annum.

For Massachusetts based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,341 to $216,700.
