Job Details
We're seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a fast-paced technology team based in Newton, MA. This hybrid role (3 days onsite) offers the chance to work on cutting-edge automation frameworks, CI/CD integrations, and high-quality software solutions. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity.
This is a consulting group that partners with innovative organizations to deliver top-tier automation solutions. They're looking for a quality-focused engineer who can lead test automation initiatives, improve efficiency across the SDLC, and collaborate with developers to ensure best-in-class system performance. You'll be joining a collaborative environment where your expertise in test frameworks, CI/CD, and performance testing will directly impact product reliability, scalability, and user experience.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
7+ years in software engineering and functional automation
Proficiency in Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, JMeter/Neoload, and Appium
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for test environments
Strong database skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of DevOps or test data management experience
Proficiency in Python, Java, and TypeScript
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
Knowledge of data management tools such as Delphix or IBM Optim
