Description
We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator located in Syracuse, New York. In this role, you will be providing technical and desktop support for end-users, responding to inquiries, and delivering solutions as necessary. You will be working on system configuration, maintenance, and upgrades while ensuring network security and connectivity.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical and desktop support for end-users, responding to inquiries and offering solutions as needed
Handle system configuration, maintenance, and upgrades
Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
Monitor for necessary updates and implement them
Support and administer third-party applications
Ensure network security and connectivity
Establish and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords
Resolve issues reported by end-users
Maintain and update network policies and procedures
Specify system requirements and design solutions
Conduct research and make recommendations on server system administration and changes
Maintain relationships with all end-users and provide support.
Skills:
Proficiency in Cisco Technologies
Familiarity with Database management
Expertise in Active Directory
Knowledge of Configuration Management
Experience with Deployments.
Requirements
Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is essential
Experience in Database management required
Knowledge of Active Directory is a must
Ability to perform Configuration Management tasks effectively
Demonstrated experience with Deployments in a construction/contractor setting
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Relevant industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or CCNA would be advantageous
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
