Job Details

  • strong command of Unix/Linux System

  • Proven Linux Admin that understands and has experience patching.

  • Experienced in Automation tools, eg. Groovy, Python, Ansible**, etc.

Must Have:

  • Proficient in handling OS patching in both On Premises and AWS infrastructure

  • Monitor system performance, analyze system logs, identify and resolve issues affecting system performance or availability.

  • Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, user access control, and regular system security patch updates.

  • Responsible for remediating vulnerabilities

  • Work with various teams to handle EOL/EOS remediation

  • Automate patching process and reduce application downtime using configuration management tools

  • Work with Infosec teams to establish Infrastructure best practices

  • Create patching and upgrades schedules

  • Manage data backup and recovery processes, including scheduling regular backups, testing backup procedures, and restoring data as necessary.

  • Diagnose and resolve system-related issues to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes. Generate reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.

  • Manage the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of software applications and hardware resources on the Unix system.

  • Stay current on the latest developments in Unix technologies and system administration best practices.

  • Provide weekend support to perform maintenance activities


  • Proven experience as a Unix System Administrator.

  • Red Hat Certification Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Sys Admin (RHCSA) is highly desirable

  • Proficient in AWS services & Terraform scripting.

  • strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, network protocols, and system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  • Proficient in patch management & security tools

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.




  • This is a Risk/ threat and vulnerability team. Team is responsible for both application and network security.
