About the Role
This is a hands-on engineering role, not a lead or architect position. You ll build scalable, cloud-native integration services on AWS using serverless infrastructure and secure messaging systems. You ll work with a small team to support next-gen cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-prem integrations for core enterprise data workflows.
What You ll Do
You ll code, test, and deploy production-grade integration services in the cloud, with a heavy focus on:
Python-based AWS Lambda development (serverless, event-driven functions)
Kafka setup and configuration, including queue management, JMS, MQ-based messaging
File-based integrations using XML and encrypted file handling (PGP, SFTP)
Cloud-to-cloud and hybrid integration patterns
AI-integrated services using tools like Amazon Q
Message transformation pipelines (Message In Transform Message Out)
Build and support robust, auditable workflows for mission-critical data exchange
What You ll Bring
Required Experience
15+ years of software development experience, including:
At least 3 years building serverless services using Python and AWS Lambda
Kafka expertise: Setup, tuning, and managing Kafka queues
Deep familiarity with message brokers (JMS, MQ)
Strong experience with encrypted file processing and workflow automation
Experience building data integrations across cloud and on-prem environments
Comfort working with XML file generation, transformation logic
You thrive in individual contributor roles and prefer hands-on coding vs. team leadership.
