Job Details

Highlights from the Hiring Manager:
Looking for a mix of both: ADAS expertise in terms of fusion understanding and experience working with sensor stack / flashing ECUs / debugging related problems + in-vehicle validation part.
Not all OEMs have this structure in place. Majority of them have very defined roles. Maybe you can look through some Bay Area companies? There might be some overlap there with former Cruise (Origin project) / Waymo / Zoox / Rivian / Lucid where candidates would be exposed to both ADAS engineering / debugging and SW validation behind the wheel.

Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to build an in-depth understanding of various mule and carline platforms to support the successful integration and validation of software features for Mercedes-Benz vehicles at SAE levels 2 4. The role involves working closely with a global R&D team to ensure that software components are correctly integrated into the vehicle environment, supporting system-level testing, issue investigation, and cross-functional collaboration with teams in the US, India, and Germany.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Support system integration and maintenance of ADAS-related components on mule and carline vehicle platforms
Troubleshoot and triage in-vehicle issues related to sensors, ECUs, vehicle networks, data logging, and software
Collaborate with vehicle dynamics teams to ensure proper integration and calibration of ADAS systems with vehicle control modules
Investigate and resolve vehicle communication issues, design temporary workarounds, and escalate incidents as needed
Perform hands-on diagnostic work in vehicles, including partial disassembly, to identify root causes of reported problems
Act as the initial point of contact ( first responder ) for vehicle-level issues during development and testing phases
Diagnose, validate, and ensure the accurate functioning of ADAS components and sensor systems
Propose improvements to prevent recurring issues and contribute to platform stability

Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in ADAS development, vehicle integration, vehicle dynamics, or related automotive domains
Strong hands-on experience with vehicle systems, including diagnosis, disassembly, and reassembly of components
Solid understanding of ECU integration, vehicle network communication, and diagnostic workflows
Proficiency with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
Knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including harnesses, connectors, and wiring schematics
Familiarity with sensor technologies such as radar, LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Proficient in ECU flashing, IP/Ethernet setup, and basic Linux command-line tools
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required
Valid U.S. driver s license
Ability to work both in-vehicle and at a desk for extended periods

Additional Insights:
Prior OEM integration roles experience (CANalyzer / CANoe knowledge would be advantage)
Basic knowledge of ADAS systems and sensor fusion principles
Must pass Mercedes driving test T2

Interview Process:
First-round, 30-minute virtual/Teams interview with Kirill Galkin
Final onsite panel interview 30-45 minutes
