As a Microsoft Datacenter IT Operations Manager, Logistics (ITOM-L), you lead and manage a team of individual contributors as well as overseeing data center site services and logistics. This role will give you an opportunity to lead highly effective team.
In the Datacenter IT Operations Manager, Logistics role, you will work with the Datacenter Operations Manager, Datacenter Project Managers, and Data Center Inventory & Asset Leads (DIAL) to drive and implement consistent programs across the operations and logistic verticals in your datacenter. With your team, you will enable the build out, onboarding and operationalization of new datacenter capacity, and actively participate in the incident and outage process to ensure proper root cause analysis and appropriate follow-up with affected site contacts. You will also oversee the DIALs day-to-day operations providing you a complete end-to-end perspective and accountability.
This role calls for a balance of leadership, influence skills, supportive individual contributions, and expertise in enterprise-level operations.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Qualification or equivalent AND 3+ years experience of mission-critical service management (e.g., providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure)
- OR equivalent experience
- At least two years' experience leading and motivating a diverse, technical workforce.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or localgovernment agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate's citizenship will be verified with a validpassport.
- Enterprise-level Experience in managing large-scale and complex projects/programs representing operational, business, and logistical verticals.
- Working knowledge of audit and compliance requirements in a large global enterprise
- Problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, data analysis, and attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication and organization skills
- Must be able to multi-task and project manage many tasks simultaneously
- College or university degree in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience
