AWS - EKS, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes/OpenShift Container Platform.
Description
This role is on the DevOps engineering team - creating CICD frameworks, maintain Kubernetes platform that we own, OpenShift, all applications to migrate to cloud
Work with Cloud Engineering team when we have to move an application to cloud in AWS, they do the automation part of it, automating pipelines, their team provides the required stuff to move to cloud
Top Skills Needed: Kubernetes, OpenShift, CICD
GitHub is a plus
Kubernetes - must have skill, we do this day in and day out
Strong understanding of CICD
Cloud - AWS preferably
Cloud team enables the platform - provide the app team on what the services are needed, whereas this DevOps team actually does the ground level on prem work and stitch them to get into AWS
Writing those CICD pipelines
This team creates new things, we rethink, we also do some AI work which is interesting
Think of us a RD department for Kubernetes, CICD - research, development, new things
Deployment team is separate
Two large current projects:
o Heads down focused on migrating OpenShift clusters to a new networking model
o Working on migrating to GitHub from Azure DevOps - GitHub actions experience would be a huge plus too, that is a 2 year project
Kubernetes and OpenShift would be the top 2 skills
Hybrid Easton/Columbus or Minnesota
3-5 years experience
Our team maintains and administers OpenShift container platform
Day to day: DevOps engineering team, we are focused on CICD aspects of deploying and building to the cloud environment, container environment
Looking for someone who has experience with Kubernetes and details of how you build and deploy into Kubernetes, managing platform
Always into automating things, in CICD
Candidate who has DevOps experience with all CICD tool chain, experience working on AWS or Kubernetes platform

Job Description
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must Have
AWS - EKS, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes/OpenShift Container Platform.
Job Responsibilities:
Design cloud infrastructure/platform/services that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS.
Build and maintain operational tools for CI/CD, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems.
Proficient in containerization technology and assist in administration and operation of container platform or container services such as EKS or OpenShift Container Platform.
Provision, configure and maintain cloud infrastructure defined as code using IAC tools such as Terraform for AWS environment setup and management.
Help develop and maintain scripts to automate existing manual build & deployment procedures, including platform and infrastructure automation.
Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements.
Partner with Security and Compliance teams to identify, manage, document, and implement best practices and automated controls for cloud and internal solutions.
Research and facilitate the monitoring, high availability, and support methodology for our production environment.
Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.
Stay up to date with the latest application security developments and security trends to continually improve internal processes.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
5 years of advanced experience deploying and operating in AWS and utilizing container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes in production environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AWS Services and technologies like AWS Lambda, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, EKS etc.
Hands on experience with Kubernetes platforms like AWS EKS or OpenShift Container Platform.
Proficient with cloud infrastructure as code (IAC) automation tools like Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation.
Extensive experience with CICD tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, AWS CodeBuild and AWS CodePipeline.
Hands on experience leveraging ARGO CD for Kubernetes workload deployments.
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages like Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Shell and Go.
Experience using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, AWS CloudTrail to evaluate the health of mission critical production applications and to identify root causes for performance and functional issues.
Ability to understand cloud networking and integrations.
Azure DevOps, GIT for source code management.
Excellent communication, design, documentation, analytical, and SDLC skills.
Experience with delivering software using agile methodologies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
