Job Title: BI Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a BI Engineer to develop our company's reporting and analytics solutions. This role requires a blend of technical and functional expertise to ensure accuracy in reporting and ownership of our business-facing data team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data models, including relational and dimensional models.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Write custom SQL queries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business users regarding reporting and data inquiries.
- Design ETL processes and optimize data models for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve data processes.
- Troubleshoot and performance tune data storage.
- Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of reports and analytics solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency.
- Provide technical documentation for processes, tools, and workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data science.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge of reporting/data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau).
- Proficiency in SQL or Python.
- Strong data modeling experience and ETL background.
- Experience with version control (Git).
- Understanding of machine learning and AI concepts and their applications to BI.
- Business acumen and strong functional understanding.
- Problem-solving skills.
