Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The Mid-Level Front-End Developer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
Review existing applications and their associated requirements.
Develop Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs) for C2 applications
Attend and contribute to Agile team meetings to include daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Write high-quality, secure desktop and web-based UIs.
Review software scan results and adjudicates findings.
Develop and execute unit test cases
Create high-quality software documentation, to include, but not limited to, Software User Manuals, Software Design Documents, Software Installation Manuals, and Interface Control Specifications.
Work with clients to develop the overall look and design of a UI
Test UIs for ease of use, speed and other quality factors
Fix UI issues or bugs that arise
Collaborate with other front-end and back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Mentor junior developers
The successful candidate will:
Be detailed oriented
Be able to use client input to create functional, creative and user-friendly webpages
This position will be filled and work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO

Basic Requirements:
Must have at least 9 years of work experience
Must have 8 years of software development experience
Must have experience designing, implementing, and/or sustaining desktop and web-based UI applications
Must have experience developing application front-ends using REACT, AngularJS, or other JavaScript-based web frameworks
Must be proficient in website programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Typescript, and JavaScript
Must have experience developing technical solutions to meet defined requirements
Must have experience with JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages
Must have experience working within an Agile development team and completing tasks on-time
Must have experience integrating application code into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) DevSecOps pipelines
Must have experience utilizing Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools and adjudicating vulnerabilities
Must have, or obtain within 60 days of start date, a current IAT II Certification (ie Sec+)
Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
Have an understanding of Docker containers and Kubernetes
Have experience migrating monolithic applications to a microservices architecture
Have experience developing microservices using Java Spring and Spring Boot
Have experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environments.
Have experience developing application code for deployment to a Kubernetes environment.
Have experience working with DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) tools
Have experience working on CCIC2S applications
This position is expected to pay $150,000 - $165,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
