Salary is dependent upon the candidate's skills, experience, education and certifications.

Salary Range: $145K - $165K
High end of the salary range is considered for those who exceed qualifications in one or more required skill areas.

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate the operations, maintenance, and cloud migration of critical client's IT applications. This role bridges technical strategy and execution, ensuring stability of legacy systems while enabling seamless migrations and platform support. It requires hands-on leadership, strong coordination skills, and familiarity with a range of legacy & modern technologies and tools.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requires a high level of facetime with senior client executives weekly/daily basis.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations and maintenance of client's IT applications, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and Agile teams to manage requirements, plan releases, and address operational needs.
  • Oversee and support the cloud migration of existing applications from legacy platforms to AWS.
  • Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support for applications built on WebLogic, ColdFusion, PowerBuilder, Sybase, and other legacy technologies.
  • Support and guide delivery across a suite of Tailored Platform applications including ServiceNow, Okta, MuleSoft, Socrata, Box, and Zendesk.
  • Drive consistent application of Agile and DevSecOps practices across teams and workflows.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for critical issues in production.
  • Coordinate across technical teams to ensure standardized delivery practices and cross-system integration where needed.
  • Provide technical insight and recommendations for improving application operations and infrastructure posture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years in IT project or delivery management roles.
  • 6+ years leading Agile-based operations or support teams.
  • 3+ years of experience migrating applications to AWS, with working knowledge of services such as EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Ability to foster/build strong relationships with senior-level executives.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or higher-level AWS certification) (Desired).
  • PMP or PMI-ACP (Desired).
  • Experience with SQL, Spring, Spring Boot, J2EE, JEE, Tomcat, and Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with legacy technologies including ColdFusion, PowerBuilder, Sybase.
  • Experience with cloud migration of Sybase databases, including the use of SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) to convert stored procedures and database objects to SQL Server standards.
  • Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, SonarQube, etc., in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in handling production incidents.
  • Experience supporting or managing enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Okta, MuleSoft, Socrata, Box, Zendesk is a plus.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, with little to no oversight.
