Job Details

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Office of Information Technology Strategic Services, is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the Strategic Architecture Services team. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Power Platform and SharePoint servers and sites. The ideal candidate will handle medium to high complexity projects and systems, ensuring the stability and performance of critical platforms.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered

Experience Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  1. SharePoint Online and/or On-Premises administration
  2. Power Platform applications: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI
  3. Microsoft Office 365 suite, including OneDrive and Teams
  4. Troubleshooting system, application, and integration issues
  5. Governance and compliance best practices
  6. Technical issue diagnosis and resolution
  7. Basic networking and web-based application troubleshooting
  8. Documentation and user guide creation
  9. IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  10. IIS Administration (preferred)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Power Platform and SharePoint environments
  • Analyze user requirements and establish system specifications
  • Upgrade and enhance SharePoint systems
  • Provide user support and resolve access and functionality issues
  • Assist users with Power Platform applications and workflows
  • Conduct site audits and monitor performance
  • Generate usage and incident reports
  • Collaborate with users to improve platform functionality
  • Maintain technical documentation and user guides
  • Deliver training and create knowledge base articles
  • Ensure integration with other enterprise systems
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices
  • Maintain confidentiality and support organizational goals
  • Assist other IT staff and perform additional duties as assigned
