Seeking a Project Manager with Accessibility Resource experience that is able to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our organization s accessibility framework for websites and applications
Role: Project Manager - Website Accessibility
Type: w2 / (Client cannot accept c2c or visa candidates at this time)
Duration: 6 Months (Will be extended)
Location: New York City, NY (3 days onsite)
DESIRED Experience:
- Can create an Accessibility program
- Accessibility skills (leading or active participant)
- Understanding various accessibility regulations across the globe
- Overseeing website compliance of excellence
- Website Compliance: Sites are designed and built and adhering to privacy, security, regulations, and own digital marketing brand requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive accessibility framework aligned with industry standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508).
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility best practices into website and application development processes.
- Manage accessibility projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget execution.
- Conduct accessibility audits, assessments, and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with design, development, and content teams to ensure accessibility compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in project management and Website Accessibility / Compliance
- The ability to transform the organization s Accessibility readiness, guiding us from initial initiation to proactively integrating accessibility
- Experience in the end to end process of creating a website
- (CMS tools like Adobe, Tag Management tool understanding, Website Compliance requirements such as Privacy Notice, Terms of Use, creating secure sites, and registering domains).
