Weapon Systems Solutions Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:

As a Weapon Systems Solutions Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to supporting the development and integration of secure systems for air-to-ground and air-to-air weapon s. We're looking for an engineering leader who can use their skills to contribute to the design, development, and integration of complex systems, with a focus on box-level electronics integration, cable design, Commer cia l Off-The-Shelf ( COTS ) sensor integration, mission planning, and cybersecurity in highly classified environments. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, leveraging advanced technologies to enhance munitions capabilities and support our mission to become the premier technical solutions provider.

On our team, you'll architect and integrate secure cable assemblies and COTS sensor interfaces, driving Hardware-in-the-Loop ( HITL ) and Sof tware-in-the-Loop ( SITL ) test campaigns to validate system performance under realistic mission c ond itions. You'll directly impact air-to-ground and air-to-air weapon s effectiveness by delivering real-time sensor fusion, resilient data links, and advanced scene generation for precision targeting. We'll look to you to share your systems engineering and cybersecurity expertise through technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers. This is a chance to use your experience -based knowledge in interface control documentation, penetration testing, and reverse engineering while broadening your skillset into areas like AI / ML-driven modeling & simulation, cloud-based test orchestration, and network collaborative autonomy.

Take on exciting challenges in defense aerospace with us as we enhance warfighter readiness, precision strike capabilities, and mission success.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist in the design, development, and integration of weapon s systems and HITL lab equipment, including cable assemblies, COTS sensor interfaces, flight motion simulators, anechoic chambers, scene generators and projectors, data links, RF communications, PNT, and high-bandwidth real-time interfaces
  • Support system architecture development, including cable design, rack-and-stack computing configurations, interface control documentation, facility management, and calibration.
  • Lead or coordinate Hardware-in-the-Loop ( HITL ) and Sof tware-in-the-Loop ( SITL ) test activities, plan, execute, verify, and analyze performance using 6-DOF scene generation and sensor fusion techniques.
  • C ond uct testing, validation, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and anti-tamper evaluations to meet performance, reliability, and cybersecurity requirements in highly classified environments.
  • Contribute to mission planning from weapon s and aircraft perspectives, perform trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and capability analysis to align designs with operational needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, partner companies, and government clients, mentor junior staff and continuously share systems engineering and cybersecurity expertise .
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation: design specifications, test reports, security assessments, mission briefs, and regular program status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor program cost, schedule, and technical performance, identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies-AI / ML, cloud services, data analytics, MS & A, MBSE, and network collaborative autonomy-to drive innovative solutions.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on systems engineering, weapon s integration, simulation, or defense or aerospace roles
  • Experience with DoD simulation environments, including SITL and HITL, and 6-DOF scene generation and imaging technologies
  • Experience with engineering tools and sof tware, including PENCURV, AFSIM, CAD, MATLAB, and Simulink
  • Knowledge of USAF air-to-ground and air-to-air weapon s interfaces, cable design, and COTS sensors
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including reverse engineering, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and secure coding practices
  • Ability to be self-motivated and pay strict attention to detail
  • Ability to obtain a TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in EE, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering

Nice If You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience in project leadership or program management in HITL or weapon s systems development
  • Experience with real-time simulations, HITL lab setup, test planning, and evaluation using FMS, RF, PNT, and scene injection equipment
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering ( MBSE ) tools and network collaborative autonomy.
  • Experience with Air Force programs, electro-optics, infrared, radar frequency modeling, and countermeasure analysis
  • Knowledge of AI / ML, cloud computing, data analytics, and MS & A principles
  • Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics ( STEM ) field preferred ; Doctorate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics ( STEM ) field a plus
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP
