Job Title: Project Manager CCWIS IV&V
Location: Lansing, MI 48933 (Onsite)
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities for the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) project. This role serves as the primary point of contact with the State and holds authority to act on behalf of the contractor across all aspects of project implementation, support services, and issue resolution.
The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the General Manager and participate in Executive Steering Committee meetings. The Project Manager will ensure project alignment with State objectives, timelines, and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main liaison with State of Michigan stakeholders.
- Manage project implementation, support requests, and service delivery.
- Lead IV&V efforts including schedule monitoring, risk identification, and mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with SUITE methodologies or equivalent frameworks.
- Submit regular status reports (monthly, bi-monthly, biannual).
- Oversee documentation reviews, system performance assessments, and organizational readiness evaluations.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing large-scale IV&V projects, ideally within state or federal child welfare systems (e.g., CCWIS, MiSACWIS).
- Expertise in Agile and hybrid delivery models.
- Familiarity with SUITE, PMBoK, CMMI, or similar project management methodologies.
- Experience managing multiyear, modular IT initiatives across full system development life cycles.
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with government stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in risk/issue management, escalation, and performance tracking.
- Skilled in technical documentation review and report preparation (risk, compliance, performance).
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, Salesforce platform limitations, and software performance evaluation.
- Experience with tools used for testing oversight, stakeholder reporting, and documentation.
