Application Developer / Production Support Analyst-AWS

Location: 100% Remote

Job Summary:

This mid-level position works independently to develop, implement, and maintain complex technology solutions in support of the Nova Well data platform.

• Review business requirement documents (BRD), user stories and translate into technical specifications.
• Work from technical specifications to independently develop, modify, and maintain software products Including data ingestion and extract jobs.
• Analyze and troubleshoot problems and make recommendations for remediation.
• Perform Tier One/Tier Two Production Support as required.
• Provide status updates to management.
• Monitor Inbound and Outbound Extracts jobs: logs and Control & Balance reports.
• Ability to monitor and investigate API request/ response logs. Familiarity with APIGEE and API desired Take corrective actions and escalations based on stablished & documented Ops Support procedures.
• Manages interactions with external vendors and clients
  Directly interacts with internal customers and manages customer expectations.

Requirements:

• Requires intermediate knowledge of software development life cycle methodology
• Requires Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Data platform and data warehouse functionality and standards.
• Requires intermediate knowledge of AWS Cloud services.
• Requires knowledge of relational database management systems (Including Redshift , Dynamo DB)
• Knowledge and some experience of API concepts and principles, including APIGEE gateway desired.
• Demonstrates understanding of core business functions and IT systems scope.
• Strong analytical and Problem-solving skills required to investigate, identify, and resolve production support problems (job Failures, missing files, etc.)
• Demonstrates ability to apply structure to a loosely defined problem.
• Ability to perform basic to advanced data analysis functions to address Data quality issues.
• Knowledge of membership, provider and claims data domains are a plus.
