Job Details
We are seeking an experienced ACH / Payments Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the Product Owner for an enterprise-wide payments conversion initiative. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ACH, wire transfer, and Real-Time Payments (RTP) processing, along with a strong background in product lifecycle management, project delivery, and regulatory compliance.
You will play a key role in leading the conversion of the PEP+ product, identifying operational gaps, defining requirements, and ensuring seamless transitions across payment platforms with minimal business disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Product Owner for ACH and payments-related products defining product vision, roadmap, and priorities.
- Act as the ACH SME across cross-functional teams during payment platform conversions and integrations.
- Lead end-to-end project management for ACH, wire, and RTP migration initiatives.
- Gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for payment capabilities.
- Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and banking partners to design, test, and deploy payment solutions.
- Ensure NACHA compliance and adherence to regulatory standards for all payment rails.
- Manage ACH file formats, including PPD, CCD, and CTX handling mappings and exceptions.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validation, and production cutover activities.
- Track and communicate project timelines, risks, and mitigation plans to key stakeholders.
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in ACH, wire transfer, RTP, PEP+ product or electronic funds transfer operations.
- Proven success as a Product Owner or Payments SME on large-scale payment platform conversions.
- Strong understanding of NACHA rules, regulatory compliance, and payment system architectures.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
