Position Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on S/4HANA SAP OTC VC AMS Onsite Transition Manager to lead and manage the Application Management Services (AMS) Transition Phase 2 for a global manufacturing client.
- This role combines transition leadership with strong functional expertise in SAP SD and Variant Configuration (VC), ensuring successful knowledge transfer, hypercare, stabilization, and regression testing during the transition phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge Transfer (KT)
- Develop and execute a structured KT plan covering all support processes, system landscapes, and documentation.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer sessions with incumbent teams, ensuring smooth handover of MM, PP, and SD VC functional areas.
- Establish and maintain knowledge repositories for business processes, configurations, and custom developments.
- Transition Management
- Act as the onsite leader driving AMS transition activities.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to build and manage a dual-shore support model.
- Track readiness checklists across functional and technical streams, ensuring service operations readiness.
- Hypercare & Stabilization
- Lead Hypercare planning and execution, defining SLAs, scope, and issue resolution strategies.
- Oversee incident management, root cause analysis, and performance monitoring during stabilization.
- Engage business users to resolve high-priority issues in MM, PP, and SD modules.
- Regression Testing
- Design and manage regression testing cycles to validate system stability.
- Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios, scripts, and outcomes.
- Ensure defect logging, resolution, and escalation during testing.
- Functional Contribution (MM/PP/SD)
- Provide hands-on support in MM (purchasing, inventory, vendor management), PP (MRP, shop floor, work centers), and SD (order processing, pricing, delivery).
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Support minor enhancements, configuration changes, and end-user training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8 12 years of SAP experience in MM, PP, and SD modules with at least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.
- Minimum 3+ years in AMS or support transition leadership roles within manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of discrete/process manufacturing and end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Proven experience in transition programs, hypercare activities, and regression test cycles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working onsite with global manufacturing clients.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy) and ticket workflows.
- Working knowledge of SAP Fiori apps, interface monitoring, and IDoc troubleshooting.
- Exposure to SAP FI/CO, QM, and WM/EWM integration.
